FHA, VA and many mortgage companies now require the water to be tested on homes with private wells and in some cases, testing may be required for homes on public water supplies.

Reason #29 - why we inspect attics.

This skylight well or "chute" has never been properly insulated on this 25 year old home.  A tremendous source of heat loss and a huge contributor to ice dams and condensation issues.

Deep moisture probing is available for a thorough moisture inspection Often times the only way to know for sure if the inside of a wall is wet is to insert small metal probes to test the internal construction components.  These probes are less then an 1/8 of an inch in diameter and the holes are filled after testing to return the finished surfaces to pretesting condition.  This process is especially important for evaluating behind exterior stucco finishes.  (The probes often can be inserted from the interior, leaving the stucco uneffected.)  Combine this process with Thermal Imaging and receive the complete moisture intrusion inspection.  Inquire today.
